Four Eye Patch Quilting Retreat of May 2002

Monday morning wrap-up

Come Mondary morning, only the die-hards were left. The survivors ... who were on their way to their next adventure. Teresa was winging her way back to Minneapolis, where she is going to meet more of the Quilting Forum quilters. Pigley was traveling south to Los Angeles, where she allegedly has someone who will admit to being a freind. :-)

So, where did the overnight guests stay while at the Jolly Rodgers Motel?

Teresa had the private room in the main building, decorated in early San Francisco 49er motif. (Youngest daughter, Rene, had her arm twisted to graciously vacate the room for the duration of the event).

In the North 40, is an ancillary building (in the guise of my Dad's RV, which we store for him), where Pigley and Judy slept. Here is Pigley holding down the steps to the RV.
Now the RV has 3 sleeping areas. One is the back bedroom, which features a very cozy, bigger-than-a-twin-but-smaller-than-a-full size bed .. complete with down comforter and 2 pillows and can be made completely private by closing an accordian-style door. Another is the sofa bed, which folds out to accomodate 1 person comfortably. The last area is the cab-over bed, which can sleep in 2 people who aren't are concerned about low headroom.

Pigley had first dibs on the RV sleeping areas. Is it any wonder that pinhead Pigley chose the low headroom cab-over? :-)

I tried to convince Pigley to wear her filmy negligee, but she demurred.
Judy got the luxury back bedroom.
Finally, the time had come for the last of the straglers to depart. Pigley, in an effort to redeem herself, offered to take Teresa to the San Francisco airport to catch her flight out. So, Teresa and Pigley climbed into the Pigley-mobile, waved throught the windshield and off they went .. two tires and two boa constrictors (quote courtesy of W.C. Fields) ... down the driveway, never to be seen again. :-)
One last photo ... here are some of the fowl, bird-brained creatures who provided some of the comic relief.
