As I was rummaging through my stash, I came across a beautiful, deep purple crushed velour. It was bought with my middle DD in mind, as she loves all things purple. I also know that I hadn't a project in mind when I bought it, so I was pleased to discover that I had bought enough to make a tank top from it.
Middle DD likes her tops a little snugger than I do (well, heck .. her figure is better than mine!) so I was looking for a tank top pattern specifically for knits that had a definite shape to it.
I found such a pattern at LJ Designs a La Mode and is their Margarita Top. This top fits beautifully and I do recommend it to anyone who would like a fitted tank top from a knit fabric.
The embroidery is feathers from Needle Passion Embroidery, their Feathers collections, a freebie feather and a freebie small flower from sources I no longer remember. I highly recommend the Needle Passion Embroidery site ... Tiina's digitizing is superb.
